Concept and Idea

Creation

Sam Stapleton, and his two friends: Dan Ackerman and Jordan Wrann created the name SAW from combining the first letters of their surnames. Thus, creating the name SAW. When Stapleton was aged 10, 2006, he had used this little name as a company to back his Harry Potter fan-fics. It preceded as nothing more but a name in the clouds. Supporting backyard wrestling federations and even a game designed by Brushfire. After joining a specific forum, Brushfire went on to create his own forum. Reusing the name SAW Entertainment. However, this was only the beginning.

Rebirth and success

SAW was slowly dying. The first forum was done, and others had stepped up to take the place of our young Brushfire. However, V2 came up. A new webhost, a new team, and a new start. Again however, it began to die. Forming with others sites in an affiliation, it was Brushfire's last hope to stay alive. However, both died. All was done. Or was it? In November 2009, Brushfire brought back his team of specialist, including Moonburn, who he is great friends with. Now, SAW Entertainment is a lively forum with a growing fanbase.

SAW also owns mini-sites: pokemonex.net pokemonex, hpfans.org, zeroexistence.com and of course 3browse.com. It also hosts the site ravesan.com.

Now, SAW is back up, and running smoothly. SAW is almost completely dedicated to Screenwriting, though 3Browse and it's gaming projects are also a big focal point. SAW's events/games are also quite big on the site, including smaller things such as RP's and GFX.

Being a chatting forum, anyone is welcome. SAW talks about everything from everything to anything. Movies, TV, video-games, books, aliens, and even online videos. Everyone is welcome here. There's no excuse for not joining. We have a friendly and -for the most part- respectable community. We also come complete with nice skins and a great moderating staff team. Come share your thoughts on movies, animes, or whatever you have in mind. Are you missing something? Let us know in the suggestion box! Come, post, make friends, and have fun. We, ourselves, are only teenagers going through a world. Why not escape the world with a little fun? You can pick up cool tricks for movies to see or GFX tutorials to try.

So feel free to come by and take a look. :]

Info

SAW's main focus, and central attraction. As of 14/02/10, SAW Productions brought in another professional screenwriter to continue their work. Moonburn is the newest addition to the SAW team. Moonburn collaborated with SAW's other lead writer, Brushfire, to create an amazing film. Moonburn is also the master reviewer of the site, due to his love of film.

What is SAW you might ask? SAW is a bunch of things. Including forums, media, technology, communication, and much-much more. But now, SAW is focused on one area. Screenplays. With the success of The Dark Knight, SAW did see how much income they could be making, if they brought in a professional. On March 15th, 2010, SAW released Spider-Man, via digital download. The screenplay received good reviews, and continues to welcome more CnC.

SAW operates as a team. Collaborations are definitely welcome, as they are a great way of teaching each other helpful things. SAW uses its heads Brushfire and Moonburn run it smoothly. Moonburn is the head of the Human Resources department. Specializing in hiring, editing, reviewing, teaching, and reviewing screenplay pitches. Brushfire is the CEO. Meaning any big decision goes through him. Including hiring, editing, teaching, pitches, and even research. He runs more the site, whereas Moonburn runs the people. Brushfire and Moonburn, though leading busy lives, still have time to work on their own screenplays.

SAW's Screenplay department is always looking for help. If anyone is interested, they are encouraged to follow this link: here. This takes the person to SAW's official screenplay home page to sign up.

They're rules of joining SAW, which are:

  • Being dedicated.
  • Committed.
  • Loyalty.
  • Ability to handle criticism.
  • To work a tight schedule.
  • Knowing that his/her ideas may be turned down.

Not too many. It's a fun job, and great experience for anyone who wants to learn how to write screenplays. In the future, SAW wants to expand and grow larger as their fanbase grows, expanding into books, and more.
